Teenager Edits Band"s Wikipedia Page To Sneak Into VIP Area, Becomes Legend

For as long as rock bands have been thrilling crowds of adoring fans, those adoring fans have been trying to go backstage to adore the band at close range. And hey, who doesn’t love being a VIP? Bouncers have gotten pretty good at keeping the wrong people out of the happy side of the rope, however. But that’s not to say it can’t be done. You just have to be creative, like this fan was.

Britain’s Adam Boyd and his friends got to The Sherlocks concert late and weren’t too happy with their view.

While the others sat in their sad, unfortunate seats, Adam decided to try something bold to improve his situation. And boy did fortune ever favor the bold.

Thinking quickly, he came up with the idea of editing the band’s Wikipedia page to make it look like he was related to The Sherlocks’ lead singer.

Not just related, but also influential. It was quite the move. And, had the bouncer checked the page’s revision history, Adam might have gotten himself kicked out.

Instead, the bouncer let Adam past and into the coveted VIP section.

And just to prove it, he got the evidence on his phone. He stayed there for a few songs before re-joining his friends.

And, just to tout his own genius, he posted about his experience on Facebook.

So good on him for putting one past the bouncer, but you’ll probably have to come up with your own scheme if you want to find a way into the VIP. Chances are bouncers will be wise to the Wikipedia change in the future.
