And while fangirls on Tumblr have been obsessed with him for awhile, Benedict Cumberbatch is about to become one of the biggest stars on the planet. He’s already been nominated for an Oscar and is on the popular TV show Sherlock but he’s about to become a Marvel superhero! 1. Benedict is probably most known for his portrayal of Sherlock Holmes in Sherlock. But there was a part of him that wanted to turn down the role! He said he was worried that the remake would be “cheap and cheesy.”






2. He played the villain in Star Trek: Into Darkness. For his audition, he sent a video of him reading lines in a friend’s kitchen on an iPhone.
