Johnny Depp has always been and will always be one of my favorite actors. I so admire his ability to take on every single role like he was born to play it. There simply aren’t many actors who absolutely excel in every genre like Johnny does. My favorite films of his are What’s Eating Gilbert Grape?, Benny & Joon, Chocolat, and of course, the entire Pirates of the Caribbean franchise. And you know that an actor who plays such eccentric roles obviously has a pretty eccentric life. Johnny Depp is so interesting, I could honestly write things about him for the rest of my life. Keep reading for even more bizarre facts about this wonderfully talented actor! 











1. Johnny was almost mugged once… until the mugger recognized him, that is!


The mugger quickly stopped and said, “I ain’t stealing from Captain Jack.” Johnny reportedly gave him some money regardless!




2. Johnny’s two children have the same names as two of the characters in the 1985 fantasy film Legend. 


Lily Rose was born in 1999 and Jack was born in 2002. 











3. When he played Captain Jack Sparrow in Pirates of the Caribbean, Johnny got gold capping done on his teeth in real life. 


Is that dedication or what?




4. Before becoming an actor, Johnny was actually pursuing a career in music. 


He did a ton of odd jobs during that time and was even a pen salesman briefly!

Adele’s new song “Hello” is perfect listening for anyone who wants to unnecessarily relive the emotional trauma of having your heart shattered into a billion pieces. You also might find that the lyrics are uncannily similar to a drunken text you might send your ex. Mary Caldera noticed this similarity and decided to test it out on her ex-boyfriend, Matt. Poor Matt clearly didn’t get the reference. Naturally, Matt assumed Mary was just drunk texting him, and his deadpan and confused response is brilliant.
