Maddie Ziegler is one of the most impressive young stars of this generation. She has turned her craft into her career, and she’s not even 15 years old. Most people know her from Dance Moms and several of Sia’s music videos. Her dancing is unique, and she is definitely paving the way for young dancers who are passionate about the arts. Still, with such a strong presence in the Hollywood light these days, there is a ton we didn’t know about Maddie and we wanted to share it with you!

1. Maddie has been dancing with the Abby Lee Dance Company since she was just two years old.

2. She first appeared on Dance Moms in 2011 when she was eight years old.

The show followed Maddie as well as the other young dancers in the company as they competed in various dance competitions.

3. Sia was actually the one who asked Maddie to appear in her music video for “Chandelier.” She saw Maddie on Dance Moms and asked her on Twitter to dance in the video.

We can’t believe she was just 11 years old at the time.

4. Maddie admitted that she had no idea the video would be featuring just her. She thought she would be a backup dancer and was fully expecting to actually swing from a chandelier.

The worst thing about getting drunk is pretty much any decision you make while drunk.  But once in a while you get lucky and by some fluke, a messy night takes a turn for the better.   Maybe you discover a cool talent or go on an amazing drunk adventure. More likely, you discover a edible-looking hot dog lying on the sidewalk calling to you.  But whatever your drunk win is, it creates an experience so magical that alcohol-soaked you feels like the only person in the world… even though  you probably don’t remember a thing about it the next morning.  1. The song is about the failures of reconnecting with a loved one after painful years apart. If you can get through the song without having a crippling, tear-soaked breakdown, then you likely have no heart. You also might find that the lyrics are uncannily similar to a drunken text you might send your ex. Mary Caldera noticed this similarity and decided to test it out on her ex-boyfriend, Matt. Poor Matt clearly didn’t get the reference. Naturally, Matt assumed Mary was just drunk texting him, and his deadpan and confused response is brilliant. If you think Mary was cruel for texting Matt and getting his hopes up, well, she didn’t stop there. She also posted the entire exchange on Twitter, much to our delight!
