Daughter Discovers The Identity Of Her Real Father

Growing up, we often think we know everything about our parents and their past. However, as we grow older and eventually enter adulthood, we tend to learn more and more things that have ultimately defined who our parents are. For one Australian woman, this couldn’t be more true. Growing up in a family of eight children, Carol Sullivan thought she knew everything about her parents.

That is, until she found a random letter in her father’s office desk drawer…

The letter, which was addressed to Carol’s father Clifford Hawkins, was written decades earlier by a woman named Kathy. In the letter, Kathy explained that she was raised by a single mother, and that upon recent discovery of her birth certificate, she believed that Clifford was her biological father. Carol was shocked and went directly to her father to inquire.

When he said he didn’t know if Kathy was his daughter, Carol decided to make a phone call.
