15 Things People Totally Regret Buying

They say hindsight is 20/20. While that may be true, hindsight doesn’t help you when a hot dog toaster shows up on your front porch and you’ve got rent coming up that you won’t be able to make. But hey, what are credit cards for if not spontaneous, irrational, regrettable purchases?

Not all regrettable purchases are made online, but if you’re going to shop on the internet, I have a few suggestions to minimize the damage you inflict upon yourself:

1) Never shop while drunk. Most of the purchases on this list were purchased while under the influence.

2) Avoid Etsy. You don’t need anything they’re selling at a 150% markup. Trust me.

3) Wait 24 hours before you make a purchase. This way, you’ll be sure you really want it…and the alcohol will have worn off.

4) Use someone else’s credit card.

Any of these suggestions will help you spend less online, but if you ever purchase a Nicholas Cage iPhone case in a moment of weakness, be sure to post your purchase online. The internet thoroughly enjoys laughing at your shortcomings.

1. No matter what time it is, grandma is still dead.

2. Evidently, he’s a grower not a shower.

3. There’s never a good reason to buy a used kegel machine.

4. I’ve seen milk with a longer expiry date than this tattoo’s cultural relevance.
