16 Architects Who Should Just Go Back To School
Architects need years and years of education and training, and with good reason. The structures they design have to be safe and sound, generally pleasing to the eye, and usable by people. It’s a huge responsibility, often with terrible consequences for mistakes. Typically, architects don’t get a two-out-of-three-ain’t-bad scenario, but hey, we all have off days, right?
And when you think about it, the people who design the buildings we use and the places where we live probably make a ton of mistakes that get caught long before any concrete gets poured. But every now and then, a poor decision makes it through. It takes a team to make something memorably awful, like you’ll see below. Not only did somebody create these terrible designs, but somebody else greenlit the designs and went ahead and built them. Yikes.
1. This hotel room’s view leaves something to be desired.

2. Ooh, a glass backboard, just like the pros use!

3. They should rename these stairs “The Ankle Breakers.”

4. Mind you, at least the crooked stairs go somewhere.
