To be perfectly honest, I’m not sure if there is a better rom com than The Proposal. It has Betty White, Ryan Reynolds, shirtless Ryan Reynolds, Sandra Bullock and… did I mention shirtless Ryan Reynolds already? It’s just the perfect movie for when you’re hanging out with friends or when you’re having a bad day and just want to laugh at Sandra’s character trying to act like she’s in love with Ryan’s character! 











1. The movie is based around Sandra’s Canadian character who wants to marry her assistant, Ryan Reynolds’ character, so she can avoid deportation to Canada. In real life, it’s actually Ryan who is Canadian and Sandra’s from the US!


Is there something about that water up in Canada? Ryan Gosling and Ryan Reynolds are very attractive Canadians. 




2. At the immigration office with Mr. Gilbertson, you can clearly see that there’s a copy of the book US Citizenship for Dummies on his desk!













3. Betty White almost turned down filming this movie because it meant that she would have to spend 10 weeks away from her dog. 






We’re glad it all worked out because Betty is clearly the star of this movie! Sorry, Sandra and Ryan!

Adele’s new song “Hello” is perfect listening for anyone who wants to unnecessarily relive the emotional trauma of having your heart shattered into a billion pieces. The song is about the failures of reconnecting with a loved one after painful years apart. If you can get through the song without having a crippling, tear-soaked breakdown, then you likely have no heart. You also might find that the lyrics are uncannily similar to a drunken text you might send your ex. Mary Caldera noticed this similarity and decided to test it out on her ex-boyfriend, Matt. Poor Matt clearly didn’t get the reference. Naturally, Matt assumed Mary was just drunk texting him, and his deadpan and confused response is brilliant. If you think Mary was cruel for texting Matt and getting his hopes up, well, she didn’t stop there. She also posted the entire exchange on Twitter, much to our delight!
