This Surrealist Photographer Uses Nature As Her Muse, And It"s Stunning




Katerina Plotnikova is a photographer from Russia, and her art looks like it is something out of a fantasy. It is whimsical, weird and otherworldly. It’s hard to believe that these images are the product of someone’s imagination. 


But they are! And she says that she is inspired by everyday things, but her biggest inspiration is nature. “I’m also very inspired by flea markets, secondhand stores, and even garbage bins. Sometimes, people throw away stuff that is priceless to an artist. But more than anything, I’m inspired by nature. Some landscapes are so inspiring that you just want to fly.”


Aside from her work being so stunning and incredible to look at, the animals in her photos are real and were actually present when the photos were being taken! Amazing, right? I would love to snuggle up with a fox.

Adele’s new song “Hello” is perfect listening for anyone who wants to unnecessarily relive the emotional trauma of having your heart shattered into a billion pieces. The song is about the failures of reconnecting with a loved one after painful years apart. If you can get through the song without having a crippling, tear-soaked breakdown, then you likely have no heart. You also might find that the lyrics are uncannily similar to a drunken text you might send your ex. Mary Caldera noticed this similarity and decided to test it out on her ex-boyfriend, Matt. Poor Matt clearly didn’t get the reference. Naturally, Matt assumed Mary was just drunk texting him, and his deadpan and confused response is brilliant. If you think Mary was cruel for texting Matt and getting his hopes up, well, she didn’t stop there. She also posted the entire exchange on Twitter, much to our delight!
