11 Real Things They Didn"t Put Into "Straight Outta Compton"
“F—k the police straight from the underground, a young n—a got it bad cause I’m brown // And not the other color so police think // They have the authority to kill a minority.”
And that’s how N.W.A. (N—as Wit Attitudes) broke onto the scene.
Ice Cube, Eazy-E, and Dr. Dre were the faces of N.W.A. on their first album, Straight Outta Compton. The band had such an impact on culture that, years later, the band would authorize a movie that documented what they did.
But as with all biopics, there was stuff that was purposefully or accidentally left on the cutting room floor. Like…

1. No one went to Eazy-E’s funeral except DJ Yella. The movie made it look like they all made up with him before his death.

2. The movie never explored the savage rivalry that Eazy-E and Dr. Dre had during their peak.

3. The phrase “Bye Felicia” was taken from the cult movie Friday starring Ice Cube.
