Are you having a bad day? Feeling a little under the weather? Never fear, I got you. 


Today is one of those days when I would rather not leave the safety of my sweet silky sheets. But alas, adulthood requires money, and money can only be made at a steady 9–5. That being said, many people are having a much worse day than I, so putting it into perspective helps me get it together before I miss my bus. Even so, I believe that the best cure for a bad case of the pity pouts is definitely having a good solid laugh at someone else’s expense. So join me as I begin my journey of healing.

Adele’s new song “Hello” is perfect listening for anyone who wants to unnecessarily relive the emotional trauma of having your heart shattered into a billion pieces. The song is about the failures of reconnecting with a loved one after painful years apart. If you can get through the song without having a crippling, tear-soaked breakdown, then you likely have no heart. You also might find that the lyrics are uncannily similar to a drunken text you might send your ex. Mary Caldera noticed this similarity and decided to test it out on her ex-boyfriend, Matt. Poor Matt clearly didn’t get the reference. Naturally, Matt assumed Mary was just drunk texting him, and his deadpan and confused response is brilliant. If you think Mary was cruel for texting Matt and getting his hopes up, well, she didn’t stop there. She also posted the entire exchange on Twitter, much to our delight!
