People Are Talking About Trump"s "Winter White House," The Golden Mar-a-Lago




Ever since President Trump was sworn in, you’ve probably heard a lot about Mar-a-Lago. Some people may not even know what Mar-a-Lago is, but I’m here to tell you all about it. This beautiful beach club and resort is located in Palm Beach, Florida and has been one of President Trump’s homes since 1985. While the resort has been a business of Trump’s for the last several decades, he also loves to fly down from Washington DC to do work there as president and has labelled it the “Winter White House” as well as the “Southern White House.” Let’s take a closer look at this ritzy Florida retreat.

Donald Trump bought Mar-a-Lago for $8 million in 1985 and has transformed the estate into a club and resort that is currently valued somewhere between $200-$300 million. 


Touting a mind-boggling $200,000 initiation fee, now the resort is the second place of business for the new president. 




Only from far away can you truly appreciate the scope of this resort. 


As you can see, the resort has a separate Beach Club and an enormous Tennis facility. It’s no wonder Donald wants to spend as much time here as possible!











Mar-a-Lago is a place that President Trump goes to get away from the bustle and congestion of the West Wing. 


As you can see from this picture, the opulence of this estate is unprecedented. Rooms are filled with gold leaf and marble is a constant in this masterpiece that has been likened to the Palace of Versailles. Here are Donald and Melania in the famous living room. 




To really drive home the point that Mar-a-Lago may be the most luxurious place on the planet, I show you one of the four gold-plated sinks he had installed on the premises. 


Is it even okay that I wash my dirty hands there? Wow.
