12 On-Set Secrets About "Letters To Juliet"




Who doesn’t adore a classic Amanda Seyfried movie? Letters to Juliet is one of those films that are good for your heart. It makes you believe in love and everything good and happy. It also engages that Shakespearean side you didn’t know you had. There are a lot of on-set secrets about the movie that we’re just DYING to tell you, so get ready!











The fact that this movie came out six years ago is stressing me out. It feels like just yesterday. 






1. The movie was shot over four months in Italy and was actually mostly shot in sequence.


That’s pretty rare for movies! 











2. The movie is based on the letters that people can write to Juliet that are answered by Juliet’s secretaries. This is an actual service that exists in Italy. 


They are called Il Club Di Giulietta (Juliet’s Club). 




3. This is Amanda’s second big movie where she plays a character named Sophie.


Sophie was also her name in Mamma Mia!
