11 Movie Predictions That We Think Will Come True In 2017




I’m no Nostradamus, but I have a gut feeling about things.


Specifically the movie industry. Why and how did I acquire this power?


That’s none of your business, to be honest, and I’ll thank you for you not bringing it up again.


Anyway, here are things that are going to happen this year in movies…











1. MORE and MORE and MORE Disney live-action movies… I mean, they JUST announced Dumbo with Will Smith…


Pinocchio, The Rescuers, ALADDIN?? The Lion King?




2. Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine is going to die. Especially since Hugh has repeatedly said that he wants to put the claws away for good.


Logan is the last Wolverine movie. And we’re going to find out that we’ve taken Wolverine for granted. 











3. Justice League will disappoint us because DC hasn’t figured out how to copy Marvel’s method of creating a universe of heroes that keeps one-upping the last one.


Not sure which, but it will happen.




4. A bunch of sequels will be held up because people are going to be paranoid that too much time has passed since the last one.


I’m looking at you, Avatar 2…

Adele’s new song “Hello” is perfect listening for anyone who wants to unnecessarily relive the emotional trauma of having your heart shattered into a billion pieces. The song is about the failures of reconnecting with a loved one after painful years apart. If you can get through the song without having a crippling, tear-soaked breakdown, then you likely have no heart. You also might find that the lyrics are uncannily similar to a drunken text you might send your ex. Mary Caldera noticed this similarity and decided to test it out on her ex-boyfriend, Matt. Poor Matt clearly didn’t get the reference. Naturally, Matt assumed Mary was just drunk texting him, and his deadpan and confused response is brilliant. If you think Mary was cruel for texting Matt and getting his hopes up, well, she didn’t stop there. She also posted the entire exchange on Twitter, much to our delight!
