Photographer Puts Famous Objects Into Incredible Perspective
Humans have a pretty good sense whether an object is small or large, but sometimes a bit of added perspective can drive the point home. For example, we know that Central Park in New York City is large, but unless you’ve been there (sometimes even then), it’s difficult to truly conceptualize how large it is.
One Imgur user, KevinWisbith, created a stunning series of photographs that aim to put the size of real-life landmarks and objects into perspective. By simply superimposing objects from one scene to another, he defines the nature of size in the real world so well. You have to see them for yourself — my description doesn’t do these photos justice.

Let’s start off with an object surely everyone knows: the Titanic.

Everyone knows that the B-2 is one of the stealthiest bombers in the U.S. Air Force’s fleet, but many people probably don’t realize its enormous wingspan (172 feet).

The Mir Mine in Russia is 1,722 feet deep and is considered one of the deepest mines in the world.

When the M-1 rocket engine was designed by NASA, it would have been the largest to ever exist (14-foot diameter).
