Artist Creates Fashion Sketches Based On Your Zodiac Sign

Looking up your horoscope to see what life may have in store for you is something many people like to do. Whether you believe them or not, reading up on your zodiac sign and seeing how accurate it is can be a fun way to pass the time, and some even believe it’s a great way to make a connection with others. Even though I’m not a big zodiac enthusiast, I will admit to opening a magazine or newspaper from time to time to see what the stars and planets are saying about me.

Regardless of what you think about this kind of stuff, you do have to appreciate some of the creativity that stems from it. Take the work of John Grec Archibald, for example. This young artist came up with a beautiful series that depicts what he thinks each zodiac sign would look like as a fashion sketch. He not only focused on the zodiac signs, but also their corresponding birthstones and elements. His creations are nothing short of stunning, and they perfectly exemplify how much fun someone can have when they’re inspired by a particular subject.

Aquarius

January 20 – February 18
The gemstones of January and February are garnet and amethyst, which are represented in both the hair and the gown in this sketch. Air is the element of this sign, which is depicted in the flowing gown. To top it all off, the earrings in the drawing are the Aquarius symbol.

Pisces

February 19 – March 20The beautiful tones of amethyst and aquamarine represent this sign. They can be found in the ombré hair and mermaid cut gown, which also happens to correspond with the Pisces element: water.

Aries

March 21 – April 19The element of Aries is fire, which can be seen in the fierce attitude of this sketch, as well as the hairstyle. The gemstones, aquamarine and diamond, are depicted in the hair color and the sleek, white gown.

Taurus

April 20 – May 20The short, platinum ‘do in this sketch represents the diamond, which is the stone of April. Emerald, the gemstone of May, and earth, its element, can be seen in both the earrings and the beautiful gown.
